An Authentic Vietnamese Restaurant

Vietnam Café is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in the University of Pennsylvania area of Philadelphia, PA. It was critical for this family owned restaurant to offer not only an amazing food experience, but also an atmosphere prepared for entertainment, including karaoke, parties and more.

Custom Room Control

The owner of the restaurant wanted the ability to easily control the audio, video, lighting, and HVAC systems in both the main restaurant and event room. Hoishik installed each of the components unobtrusively so that the natural feel of the décor is not marred by bulky switches and thermostats.

We used Crestron to manage the control and developed custom software so that the owner can adjust specific settings, while many are managed automatically. Custom playlists can be created for an authentic Vietnamese dining experience. Lighting control is managed automatically, slowly adjusting to dim and brighten based on the natural lighting throughout the day and evening hours. The HVAC control system operates through temperature sensors which provide energy efficiency by way of consistent temperature. The entire restaurant is easily managed either on-site or remotely and the program can be accessed via smartphone, tablet, or computer for total control from anywhere in the world.

Technology For Parties

Vietnam Café offers the Saigon Room, a large banquet room that is available for private meetings and events. This room contains its own projection screen that conveniently drops from the ceiling, allowing for image slideshows during birthday parties or other events. It also serves as the screen for karaoke events. Hoishik insure all aspects of this room – the projection screen, lighting, temperature and music – could be controlled without impacting the rest of the restaurant.
